Congressman Keith Self Named Chairman of House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe

January 10, 2025

Congressman Keith Self has been appointed Chairman of the Subcommittee on Europe by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast

“The task at hand for the Foreign Affairs Committee in the 119th Congress will be vitally important as we work to re-establish American global credibility and America First priorities alongside the Trump Administration,” said Congressman Keith Self. “During my 25-years of service in the Army, I served in Joint Staff assignments in U.S. European Command and later in NATO Military Headquarters in Belgium. As Chairman, I will help restore the communication lines between the U.S. and our European allies to combat the axis of evil—Russia, China, and Iran—which have all spread their malign influence under the Biden-Harris administration. President Reagan’s call for ‘Peace through Strength’ resonates as clearly today as it did during the Cold War. I look forward to leading the Subcommittee on Europe under Chairman Mast’s leadership as we advance President Trump’s agenda.”

“I look forward to working closely with Keith as he leads our Subcommittee on Europe,” said Chairman Brian Mast. “As a decorated veteran, Keith has seen the far-reaching implications U.S. foreign policy decisions first-hand. His experience will be vital in reforming the State Department to ensure that every dollar and every diplomat puts America First.”
