Congressman Keith Self Opposes Packaging of Foreign Aid
Today, Congressman Keith Self voted against a procedural rule, standing firm against the Establishment’s latest Ukraine funding scheme, alongside an unprecedented 54 Republicans.
“I vehemently oppose this procedural rule because it combines foreign aid bills into one package,” said Congressman Keith Self. “Each bill should be given consideration on its own merit. Leveraging American support for Israel to dislodge billions of dollars for Ukraine, with nothing for our own border, is indefensible. House Republicans passed H.R. 2, the strongest border bill in history, and $14.5 billion in aid to Israel, our closest Middle East ally. The House should have forced the Senate to consider this legislation already sitting on Chuck Schumer’s desk – not bend to the demands of the Biden administration.”
