Congressman Keith Self Proudly Hosts the Service Academy Sendoff Reception for Texas District 3 Graduates

Congressman Keith Self proudly hosted the Service Academy Sendoff Reception on Saturday. Twenty-one of the best and brightest students from Texas’ Third District will attend our nation’s service academies.

This year, Texas' Third District is sending six cadets to United States Military Academy; two midshipmen to United States Naval Academy; four cadets to United States Air Force Academy; three midshipmen to United States Merchant Marine Academy; two candidates to United States Military Preparatory School; one candidate to United States Military Civil Preparatory School; one candidate to Naval Academy Preparatory School; and two candidates to United States Air Force Preparatory School.

“Achieving success at the Service Academies takes grit and determination,” said Congressman Keith Self. “And I full have confidence that these students will be able to meet the challenges ahead. As the next generation of leaders, they will be serving alongside the finest in the United States Military. I am proud to have them represent the Third District of Texas.”
