Congressman Keith Self Votes to Hold AG Merrick Garland in Contempt of Congress

Today, Congressman Keith Self voted in support of the Resolution finding United States Attorney General Merrick B. Garland in contempt of Congress for his refusal to comply with a subpoena duly issued by the Committee on the Judiciary.

“Merrick Garland is doggedly refusing to turn over subpoenaed audio tapes of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s interview with Joe Biden,” said Congressman Keith Self. “This is a clear Article I Congressional authority. Biden’s Department of Justice is not an extension of his campaign and cannot conceal information from Congress. Today, the House rightly exercised its oversight responsibilities.”
