Congressman Keith Self’s amendment to name a Spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport vessel after Lieutenant General Richard E. Carey passed by voice in the House of Representatives today.
Today, Congressman Keith Self’s National Defense Authorization Act amendment passed the House. The amendment requires the Secretary of Defense to review and report on the personnel records of military chaplains who suffered retaliation for seeking a Religious Accommodation for the COVID-19 vaccine.
Today, Congressman Keith Self voted in support of the Resolution finding United States Attorney General Merrick B. Garland in contempt of Congress for his refusal to comply with a subpoena duly issued by the Committee on the Judiciary.
Congressman Keith Self (R-TX) and Congressman Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) are leading a letter urging U.S. Department of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to release the number of encounters our foreign adversaries, including China, Russia, and Iran, have attempted on U.S. military bases. Five additional Members signed onto this bipartisan letter, demanding answers regarding the dangerous increase in foreign espionage activity across America.
Last week, the Office of Congressman Keith Self proudly hosted the annual Congressional Art Competition at Collin College in McKinney, Texas. The event drew over 200 attendees.
“This art competition showcased the incredible talent we have in Texas District 3,” said Congressman Keith Self. “The creativity and skill these young artists demonstrated is simply remarkable, and I want to thank every student, teacher, parent, and judge who brought this event to life. I look forward to seeing the winner’s artwork displayed in my district offices and in the halls of the U.S. Capitol.”
“Pro-Hamas riots have taken American universities hostage this week, where vile antisemitic havoc has been on full display,” Congressman Keith Self said. “Texas universities must not be allowed to dissolve into anarchy, and I applaud the decisive action taken by local law enforcement to detain individuals engaged in criminal activity at the University of Texas at Dallas campus. Civil society must be maintained.”

Today, Congressman Keith Self voted in support of the End the Border Catastrophe Act, which failed 215 to 199, and against the Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, which passed 311 to 112.
