(March 24, 2023 – Washington, D.C.) Congressman Keith Self today introduced the Ensuring Lawful Collection of Hidden Assets to Provide Order (EL CHAPO) Act. The bill would reserve assets forfeited to the United States government as a result of the criminal prosecution of Joaquin Archivaldo Guzman Loera (commonly known as ‘‘El Chapo’’) or other drug lords for security measures along the Southern border, including the completion of a border wall.
(March 10, 2023 – WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, Congressman Keith Self (TX-03) and Congressman Wesley Hunt (TX-38) sent a letter to the President Biden expressing concern about a recent Executive Order titled, Further Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government. This Executive Order mandates “Agency Equity Teams” in every federal department and cabinet-level agency in our government to ensure “equitable outcomes for the American people.”
